Year 6 Transition Taster Day – Getting Ready for Secondary!
Watching your child move from primary to secondary education can bring mixed emotions for parents and students. At PBIS, we’ve designed our Year 6 Transition Taster Day to transform uncertainty into confidence.
Our Year 6 Transition Taster Day gives students a genuine preview of secondary school life – from experiencing new subjects, to navigating the campus and getting to know their teachers.
Visiting the secondary campus for their first session this year, current Year 6 students were provided a taster of three exciting subjects: Language, Art, and Science - giving them a glimpse into the learning journey ahead.
During this special day, our Year 6 students:
- Toured their future learning spaces
- Met secondary teachers
- Experienced lessons
- Connected with student mentors
- Learnt about new extracurricular opportunities for the new academic year
