Welcome

Thank you for your interest in joining our Panyathip family.

With the school's vision of "to be a happy and supportive learning environment where everyone is valued," including our staff, we believe that we offer a great place for personal and professional growth.

As a female CEO myself, equity in the workplace is one of my personal advocacies. Having a positive working environment that empowers everyone, with no discrimination against any gender or race, we pride ourselves on having a diverse school community.

Panyathip British International School was founded in 2001 and started with 38 students and 12 teachers that offered early childhood education up to Year 3 of the Primary. From such humble beginnings, the school now has over 1,000 students and 400 teachers and staff across four purpose-built campuses.

One of the main motivations of our founder, Ms. Pathana Panyathip, in starting the school back in 2001 was to provide quality education to Lao students that leads to international qualifications while continuing to preserve Lao culture and traditions. Today, we remain true to this purpose.

Laos and its people are generally family-orientated, approachable, humble, respectful, and community-driven. Such qualities are strongly modelled by our students as a reflection of our 6 Pillars of Panyathip: Trustworthiness, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship.

As a developing country, Laos has a lot of room to grow, especially in the area of developing the country’s human resources. Should you pursue and be successful with your application with us, know that you are not only changing children’s lives as a teacher, but you will also be contributing to the country’s development. There are also countless destinations in Laos that you can discover, along with the possibility of immersing yourself in the local culture, which should make your experience worthwhile.

Panyathip British International School adheres to the international standards of child protection and safeguarding to ensure that the well-being of our students is focused on and that they are safe within our care. We firmly believe that once students feel safe and valued, they can become the best that they can be. This dictates our standards for safe recruitment, which you will be subjected to in your application.

We have recently become a fully accredited member school of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS) and the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA). These organisations provide us with much-needed external validation as well as opportunities for self-improvement through their vast network of successful international schools worldwide. They routinely offer professional development training sessions that are available to our staff here at Panyathip.

In summary, if you are an individual with a personal and professional growth mindset, looking for an opportunity to experience the warm culture of Laos and help contribute to its overall development, and want to be part of a diverse teaching staff, then Panyathip British International School is the place for you.

I sincerely look forward to welcoming you to our school.
