Lone Buffalo Sponsorship
Date of Implementation: 2015 to 2020
Location: Lone Buffalo English and Youth Development Programme at XiengKhouang, Lao PDR
Objectives: To finance the cost of classes (volunteer teacher’s allowance for a whole year + resources)
Target Groups: 2 classes of 25 to 30 students per year
Since 2015 up to 2020, Panyathip British International School has been an avid sponsor of the Lone Buffalo Foundation, which provides English and youth development programmes for the youth in XiengKhouang Province, Laos.
Every year, PBIS sponsors the cost of the volunteer teacher’s allowance plus resources for two classes, which amounts to $1,500.00 USD.
This programme has already provided a lot of out-of-school youth in the province with opportunities for higher learning and continues to do so to this day.
The above mentioned projects are just a few of the several CSR projects that PBIS has been engaged with; others include the Attapeu Flood Relief in 2018, outreach and donation of school supplies to various Lao schools in Vientiane and Vangvieng, as well as donations to various organisations like Hands of Hope, Vientiane Rescue, SOS Children’s Village and the Lao National Paralympic Team.
Panyathip British International School is doubling down on its commitment to CSR, with a focus on supporting less-known organisations and making CSR projects more sustainable and long-term. The school is also increasing student involvement through peer-to-peer learning.
