At our school, the academic year consists of approximately 180 contact days, complemented by around 10 additional days dedicated to professional development and preparation.

The school year typically begins around the 15th of August and concludes around the 15th of June, offering students a structured and balanced schedule.

Key highlights of the school year include:

• First Main Holiday: A 2 to 3-week break in December, providing students and staff time to relax and recharge.
• Summer Break: A longer holiday lasting 6 to 8 weeks, usually from mid-June to mid-August.
• Public Holidays & Celebrations: Numerous holidays and events throughout the year add excitement and cultural enrichment to the calendar.

Students typically begin classes in mid-August, right after Teacher’s Planning Week. To support new staff, an orientation program is held during the second week of August, ensuring a seamless and welcoming integration into the school community.

School Hours

School Hours and Community Involvement

The school day typically begins at 08:30 and ends at 15:30 for students in the International Programme. For those enrolled in the Lao curriculum, the school day may extend beyond these hours.

All teachers play an active role in the school community, including supervising playground duties, attending staff and departmental meetings, and supporting major school events.

A highlight of the year is our Annual Family Fun Day, held on a Saturday. This special event brings the entire school community together to celebrate and showcase our school’s activities and achievements.
